An Inclusive Community: Vikindu Village, Pwani, Tanzania; I started this as a club in 2009 because as a mom I faced so many challenges raising my children while working. I had to leave them with a care of a house girl, and as you know, not all house girls have any knowledge of childcare and development. When you come home.... the child has picked a behaviour that you never wished, or a child has been watching too much TV with no parental guide at all. It's a parent's nightmare believe me. this is why I decided to help myself and other parents to look after their children during Afternoons. During their time with me we do a lot of creative activities that add on to their knowledge, and I gave them a safe home-based environment to learn ways of life. This brilliant initiative has grown now into an inclusive school, which not only embrace children with disabilities but also an inclusive community of people living with the respect, value and appreciation of humanity. We are the living Ubuntu and Antroposophical ways. Karibu to visit our Center in Vikindu.
