It has been nearly 6 years since i last updated this blog site. A lot have taken place but most of all is the birth of a much more bigger programme known as Friends of Children with Cancer Tanzania. I founded this organization along with my partner Walter Miya in 2013. Ever since we have been working to support the needs of children around Tanzania.

We Support  the needs of families affected by Non Communicable Diseases and Neural Tube Defects in Tanzania. We work as case managers to help families navigate the health systems and services available. Working closely with hospitals around Tanzania including 3 zonal referral facilities. We also collect data from hospitals in order to understand the scope of the problem and we are running an inclusive daycare and rehabilitation Center in Mkuranga Coastal regional.

•       Our vision ”To see a generation where children are born free from preventable disease” may seem impossible to some, but we believe it is possible. (with partnership and coordination) 

I am very happy to inform you the revival of Mwanangu programme which has developed from this initial programme.

As part of our ongoing initiatives to support the needs of vulnerable children in Tanzania, in April 2017, we started an inclusive Pre-school and Rehabilitation Centre for children in Mkuranga District. We currently have 50 children who attend school on daily basis, five times a week. We have four semisters in a year which gives our children 40 weeks a year attendance in the program. The age range from one year old to 9 years old. We offer education, care, rehabilitation, meals, transportation and medical check up.

Longtern Plans

 Our future plans is to continue from Preschool to Primary school level education for the children once they reach the right age and milestones
